Stop Throwing Money Out the Window For More Tests

Every day I talk with patients who have been to several doctors and specialists.  Its not uncommon for my patients to have visited Mayo Clinic , John Hopkins Medicine or Cancer Treatment Centers of America .  Or maybe you have been to the top doctors in your local area.  In Buffalo NY , we have some really great facilities that I am proud of.  However, I notice a trend has occurred over the last several years and it bothers me.

Stop Throwing Money Out the Window!

I have to admit that several years ago I was heavily practicing “functional medicine.”  We helped patients get great results….BUT there was one caveat.  The testing was too expensive!  People would have to spend $1500-$2100 just to get an initial workup for different tests that were necessary to get the results that we are known for.  On top of that, you just can’t do one test.  What good is that?  You have to do a second one to measure the progress of a patient.  So I did this for several years, but was always thinking in the back of my mind there had to be a better way.  I finally developed the test we have become known for today called The DNA Uprint.

Why I developed The DNA Uprint

I arrived at developing this test out of the frustration described above and having to wait too long of a time to get results back from labs.  Another frustrati23 and meon was even though the tests that are still run today by many doctors such as blood work, stool testing, Cyrex testing, saliva tests for adrenal testing, 23andme, they do NOT tell you what is causing the problem.  I can’t begin to tell you how many people bring in all these test results to me from other specialists and they are no better than where they started except they threw a lot of money out the window in my opinion.  Do I still believe in the value these tests provide?  I sure do, but I know you can get more bang for your buck.  Who wants to throw money out the window?

Why The DNA Uprint Is Necessary

With The DNA Uprint, I am able to get so much more information for a small fraction of the cost that patients once had to spend.  I would rather see people put the money they saved toward actual treatment, not testing.  In addition, patients are now getting better faster and no longer have to be on a bag full of supplements.  I’m not against them.  Just don’t think you need to be on them every day for long term.    The DNA Uprint reveals the cause of your symptoms whereas blood work does not.

Why Doesn’t Traditional Medicine Find the Same Thing With Their Testing?

First and foremost, I can tell you that medicine is driven by the insurance companies.  What does this mean for you?  It means their rationale to give the go ahead to order the tests is what is the least they can do and pay for.  This is an unfortunate answer.  It shouldn’t be this way.  Our medical system is bloated and often doesn’t help the people who need it most.

Second, do yodrug companiesu think the pharmaceutical companies want you to find the true cause of your problem?  Or, just keep taking more and more medication for the rest of your life?  Which one pads their pocket more?

Last, traditional medicine has some great tests that reveal phenomenal information such as blood work, MRI, PET scans, etc.  However, those same tests do NOT reveal what is CAUSING the problem.  That is the dilemma.  I cant look someone in the face and say just continue taking “xyz” for the rest of your life knowing there is a better way.  This is a changing the way people go about helping chronic health conditions that have been steadily rising in our society.  There is a different and new way to achieve results and live a life free from symptoms.

These are just the tip of the iceburg reasons why The DNA Uprint is so beneficial.  The results cut to the chase and give you answers that you can act on right away.  It also prioritized what to do first.  We eliminate the guesswork so you can concentrate on feeling better.  If you have any personal questions specific to your symptoms, please call our office, 716.773.4707.
